The producers of the Oscar-nominated film Beasts of the Southern Wild, Michael Gottwald and Casey Coleman, visit Film Annex to talk about the film that inspired millions of people across the world since its premiere at Sundance Film Festival in 2012.
Gottwald and Coleman take us back to the beginning of their adventure and talk about their collaboration with director, Benh Zeitlin, the casting of Quvenzhane Wallis as Hushpuppy, financing the film, how they got distribution, and what they’ve been doing to connect with their audience, amongst other stories.
